Another session has come and gone so quickly! How does the time fly by so fast? Congratulations to everyone for completing their first event, and or continuing to train for an event, or just plain training. It is hard work to stay motivated and have the discipline to train as much as you do. We are always so very proud of each and every one of you for working towards your goals.
We are entering into summer, and that means heat training! Whoa! We have big plans for summer, and i for one am excited! I am feeling better, and able to get out more, so i am looking forward to seeing all of you out there as well. It makes me very happy to see everyone out there having fun, and busting their butts!
If you have not heard, Myfamily is no longer. We have a different calendar system for your workouts. Please go to our website and select the calendar tab. http://octrailtales.blogspot.com/p/calendar.html Coached is for members, and open is obviously for anyone. Meetup is for new members who are searching, and will only have open events from now on. I hope that will be less confusing for everyone. Please remember to look at your training peaks for your specific workouts. If you do not have a training peaks account, let us know so we can provide one for you and your training plan.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us get our foundation on its way! We have had two great races, that benefited two amazing charity's, and this Thursday is our final race for the series! If you have not done one yet, come on out and join the fun! It really means a lot to Pete and I for finally getting the foundation up, thank you everyone for making that dream come to a reality!

New session sign ups for the Summer will be Monday June 23 at Road Runner at 7:00 pm. We will be training for Long Beach Marathon and Half for our Roadies, Whoo's in El Moro 25k and 50k for my trail lovers, and of course Silverman Half Ironman for the Tri Monkeys. We have a variety of 5 and 10ks to choose from, as well as any other event anyone would like to do. Come out Monday night the 23 for some raffles, beer, food, and fun! You will also get an additional % off at Road Runner!
