Training with a partner is good for your performance, and it’s also good for your relationship. It doesn’t matter if we’re talking about two buddies who go for rides or runs together or a couple (however you define it, that’s a topic for another time and place…). It doesn’t matter if you’re training for the same event, or even the same sport. What’s important is that you and your partner have set goals, are committed to training for those goals, and are committed to helping each other stay motivated and encouraged.
Couples that train together, or at least couples in which both people are regular exercisers, stay together. Balancing training with your busy lifestyle is a challenge, and the health of your relationships is one your OC TRAIL Tales top priorities.
For the sake of your performance – and this promotion – we’re extending the definition of “couple” to include the man or woman you meet at the coffee shop to go out for a training ride/run/swim, etc. A training partnership can provide a big boost to you performance by helping you with the motivation to get out there on a day when the weather’s not perfect or when you’re tired. Your training partner can push you to complete one more interval when you’re ready to give up, or challenge you to dig a little deeper on the next climb.
I can tell you that I wouldn’t be anywhere near my current fitness and performance level without training partners. I want you to experience the training scenario I’ve benefited from for years, which is why we’ve created this Couples Coaching Promo. Plus, it’s February… Valentine’s Day… couples… you get the idea.
